About Our School

Gangath School has a proud legacy of providing quality education and shaping young minds for nearly a century. Established in 1929 as a Primary School, it quickly grew to meet the educational needs of the region and was upgraded to a High School in 1955. In 1989, it attained the status of a Senior Secondary School with the Arts stream, and by 1992, Science and Commerce streams, were also introduced, making it a well-rounded institution catering to diverse academic interests.

In 2017, the school was declared a Model School, and in 2024, it earned the prestigious PM SHRI logo, a testament to its excellence and commitment to holistic education. The school is situated just 7 km from Jassur, making it easily accessible to students from nearby areas.

Today, Gangath School offers two vocational subjects – Tourism and Healthcare, equipping students with practical, career-oriented skills. The campus boasts a Smart Computer Lab, a digital school library and a newly installed Astronomy Lab, encouraging innovation and exploration. A Tinkering Lab is also being established to further promote hands-on learning and creativity.

In addition, the school runs active NSS and Scout & Guide units, fostering leadership, discipline, and social responsibility among students.
